I am going to be going on vacation for the next two weeks, so I will not be posting for a while. For all you who read my blog, I really appreciate you. I appreciate the questions many of you have sent me. I apprecaite the kind words many of you have shared with me. And yes, I appreciate it when you shares my posts. In this two week recess, I have two favors to ask:
1.) I will be teaching an elective this year for MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement). As part of that elective, my students will be participating in a national competition to build a prosthetic arm. But not just any prosthetic arm – it has to be controlled by a micro-controller (a miniature computer) that runs a program that they will code themselves. We have only been able to purchase 4 micro-controllers – we need your help to raise money for 10 more. Please consider donating $10, $20, $50 or more to our classroom project on my donors choose site, which can be found here: Coding by Doing. (And please share that link if you really like the idea!)
2.) If you enjoy my site, one way more people can find out about SchoolDataNerd is if you follow me on social media. Above, right inside the picture of Los Angeles, there are Twitter and Facebook buttons that will take you to my social media sites. If you have Twitter or Facebook, please consider liking or following my site!
I have a lot of ideas that are brewing for when I get back, but I also want to know what you would like me to investigate. If you have an idea or question that you would like me to take on, please click here to submit those ideas.
